Glass Rocks

$1,320.00

This painting was inspired by glass rocks found at Glass Beach State Park in Northern California. There were once factories that made glass in the area. Molten glass would fall (or be dumped) into the ocean and the waves and tide would roll over the glass and turned it into rocks. Unfortunately, quite a bit of the glass rocks have been taken over the years.

I used Daniel Smith Primatek paints for the rocks. The only color that is not Primatek is the yellow as I don’t think Daniel Smith has a yellow Primatek paint. Their Primatek paints are ground from actual minerals. In this painting, I have used paints ground from turquoise, garnet, hematite, malachite, and bauxite. You can learn more about the Primatek paints here.

This painting will be sold unmatted and unframed.

I will provide a Certificate of Authenticity if requested.
