It wasn't until 2005, however, that she truly found her passion for watercolor during an intensive workshop with the late Jan Hart in New Mexico, reigniting her artistic drive with a fervor that has only grown over time.

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, Nancy now runs the Nancy Riedell Fine Arts Studio and Gallery located at 598 Aultman Street in Downtown Ely, Nevada. Her work cover the walls of this new gallery. She holds several events each year such as Second Saturdays, Open Studios, Gallery Showings, and fun events such as Paint & Sip and Paint Your Pet events. Beginning July 1, 2026, Nancy now shares her gallery with three other local artists - a woodworker, an oil painter, and a graphite artist.
