French Pitcher
French Pitcher
Living in a small, rural town (pop. 4,000) has become quite a challenge for me. It is nestled in northeastern Nevada and is isolated, being about 3 ½ to 4 hours from the nearest big city.
In the past, I have taken for granted such things as going to the nearest frame shop to get a painting framed. There is no frame shop in this town and driving up to 4 hours just to get a painting framed does not sound like a good idea. So, I purchased a large box of various frames of different sizes and colors from a friend and created paintings to fit the frames.
This pitcher collection is one such project. It is called French Pitcher. I received it as a gift from my sister, who visited France and decided to keep the same pitcher from the hotel she was staying at that was used for the milk for her coffee and decided to paint it, along with the others I had, and create this collection.
The image is 5” x 7”. The frame is slightly larger and it is in a gold frame.
