As I continue to work with watercolor "ground", a viscous medium typically used to correct mistakes, I came up with the idea of dipping string, or rope, in the ground and laying that across a sheet of watercolor paper. I have decided to create a collection of four after the first one received rave reviews in a recent open studio event. String Art 2 is now part of the collection.

String Art 2 is the second in a collection of four. I am anticipating that I used the above-mentioned ground, called Iridescent Gold, and a violet background. These string paintings will complement each other and are designed to be hung together.. I am anticipating that the collection will look very dramatic.
